Sustainable Strategies DC hosted a webinar last week detailing key federal funding opportunities in 2020 to support local community needs and priorities.

The webinar, titled “Show Me the Money: 2020 Funding Outlook for Community Revitalization”, featured 20 funding opportunities in areas of infrastructure, economic development, public safety, parks, arts and culture, and community health. The Michigan Municipal League was asked to share these with our members who may be seeking federal funds for there local projects. The one-hour webinar is free and it only requires your name and email to watch. Click here to watch it. The webinar reviewed federal funding opportunities in 2020 that can enable cities and counties to leverage public and private dollars for economic, social, and environmental needs and priorities.

Hosted by S2 President, Andrew Seth, and Principal, Ashley Badesch, this hour long discussion offered insights and actionable content which included:

  • Highlights from the FY2020 Consolidated Appropriations: An overview of the federal funding that will be available in the upcoming year to support a wide range of community revitalization and local initiatives.
  • 20 in 2020″: A deeper dive into 20 key funding opportunities in areas including transportation infrastructure, economic development, community revitalization and resilience, parks and recreation, public safety, arts and culture, and community health.
  • 5 Tips for Pursuing Federal Funding: A brief exploration of strategies for securing federal grant and other funding opportunities
