Lesley D. Slavitt joined the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy as executive director in April 2023. A seasoned philanthropic leader, Lesley has worked with community stakeholders throughout her career. Lesley was chief executive officer of Fiat Chrysler’s Foundation and spent ten years at JPMorgan Chase. She also previously served in administrative roles in social-justice-centered higher education and urban innovation organizations. She serves on the board of the Urban Renaissance Center, is a strategic advisor to Co.act Detroit, and is on the advisory group for The Chronicle of Philanthropy-AP-The Conversation on Philanthropy. Lesley holds a doctorate. in planning from the University College London, master’s degrees in urban planning and historic preservation, both from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
