Katie Guyer has served as the City of Midland’s communications coordinator – a job she’ll tell you is “the best job in the world – since 2016. She oversees the City’s day-to-day and communications initiatives, including social media, video storytelling, and the City’s Award-winning Citizens Academy program, with the belief that government communication should be transparent, timely, and relatable. In previous lives, she’s also served in private sector marketing roles in transportation and logistics, ecommerce retail, and economic development.

Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Butler University and is a Certified Public Manager through the National Certified Public Manager Consortium. She’s also a 2021 graduate of the MML’s Women’s Municipal Leadership Program.
