Mobile Workshops

If you haven’t been to Detroit in a while, you’re in for a treat at Convention! We’ve planned several mobile workshops that will help you experience the city’s comeback firsthand. You’ll have a chance to see some of the things that make Detroit unique on these exciting mobile workshops:

• Detroit Neighborhoods Tour – Visit some neighborhoods near Downtown and Midtown and admire their historic housing, emerging local businesses, and community projects.

• Green Spaces in Urban Places – Explore some of the Detroit Riverwalk’s key spaces as well as the Dequindre Cut trail project. See how these green spaces are supporting nearby development.

• Detroit City Football Club Tour – Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of a project to revitalize and restore the 26-acre Hamtramck Veterans Memorial Park. The tour includes Keyworth Stadium, where the Detroit City Football Club soccer team plays, and the historic Hamtramck Stadium, once home to the Negro National League Detroit Stars.

• Explore Detroit: Revitalized & Rehabbed Downtown Walking Tour – Follow Detroit Experience Factory through some of downtown’s iconic places that are lighting up the city’s skyline while learning about their history and architecture.
