Everyone has a stake in the success of their community – whether they live there, work there, or help run the local government. Marilyn Schlack knows that as well as anyone. As president of Kalamazoo Valley Community College, she has had numerous opportunities to partner with members of the community on large and small tasks that have had positive results for everyone involved.
The results of partnering up are great, but how do you wrangle residents and businesses into that partnership in the first place? In Thursday afternoon’s general session, Schlack will be part of a panel that shares the unique ways they have been getting people involved in improving the quality of life in their community and enhancing talent attraction.
