Senior Brownfield Specialist | Fishbeck

Trudy joined Fishbeck in 2024 with over 35 years of experience in community planning in a rural county. Her knowledge of brownfield plans comes from different angles – serving as Brownfield Director for a County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (BRA), working with municipalities to develop procedures and policies and to understand the brownfield process, and helping private developers with plans to revitalize and redevelop sites. She has written and administered numerous grants on projects such as demolition, recycling, website development, and housing rehabilitation and construction. Trudy has been a presenter at conferences of the American Planning Association, Michigan Association of Planning, National Brownfield Conference, Michigan Grape & Wine conferences and events held in the region and around the state. She is a member of the Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP) through the American Planning Association and a board member of the Michigan Chapter of the American Planning Association.
