Dr. Allen is the Manager of the Office of Market Research (OMR) at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.  It conducts housing research on numerous topics of interest, including the housing needs of Michigan’s older adult population, and the state’s housing needs more broadly.  It provides data and analytical support for MSHDA’s activities as well as the implementation of Michigan’s Statewide Housing Plan.  The office also reviews market studies for rental projects that have applied for funding through MSHDA.
