Ding! The clock strikes 10:00 am or 2:00 pm, everyone spills out of the Convention session, and you still haven’t had a chance to ask your question. What’s a curious Convention attendee to do?
This year, we have a new answer to that question: Meet-Ups. What’s that, you say? Meet-Ups offer an opportunity for small groups to gather for informal conversations on topics presented during Convention. Subjects will range from civic innovation and public engagement to engaging local leaders, and many more. If you’d like to bounce ideas off your colleagues on another subject, that can be arranged, too. Any topic is eligible and anyone can participate.
When you arrive at Mackinac Island’s spectacular Grand Hotel, check the Meet-Up board near registration for times and locations. If your preferred topic isn’t listed – add it! There just may be others who’d like to join you for that conversation.
